The party will be held on November 14th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Will Rogers Community Club House (20485 E. Colt Drive… between Hawes and Ellsworth off of Ocotillo Road).
Coach Gene has asked that all the boys wear their game jerseys to the party. Dinner will be provided for the players and their families. Brats, hotdogs, and other delightful treats… oh my!!

Hey All… wanted to reconfirm that the first game on Saturday against the Miners has been moved to 12pm. I think this bodes well for the Eagles as the Predators will no longer have an extra 2 hours of rest before we meet at 8pm.
There was much talk about the location of the games (Prospector Park). Click here for a Google map to the game’s location and click here to view a web page about the location.
Also, ol’ Scorsese was at it again and put together another stellar video of the Eagles versus the Rattlers. Nice work Ryan… your videos are incredible!

They never saw it coming. Blind-sided I tell you. It seemed a bit bizarre that the coaches were seemingly wrapping up practice at 7:30 tonight as the boys gathered in the middle of the practice field. Had we known better, we would have noticed the coaches looking over at the Peanut Gallery gettin’ all chucklehead and such. Del Caron even mentioned that they looked like they were up to something…
Then it happened… they issued the challenge. “Calling all fat men!”, cried Coach Erwin. “Get out here you numb nuts”, belted Coach Beaver. “That means you too Ardans”, exclaimed Coach Romel. And then, like a herd of hippos, the boys in the Peanut Gallery began to make the gradual ascent from the comfy confines and relative safety of the sidelines.

I promised Bill Oram that I’d post an injury update today on Walker Pattyson, so here it is. According to Coach Gene, Walker’s neighbor - an ER Nurse - checked out his arm and concluded that there wasn’t a break. Walker’s a tough kid, so I’m sure we’ll see him on the field this Saturday! Also, it’s Walker’s B-Day today so…
Happy Birthday Walker!!

Hey Eagles fans.. thanks to Ryan aka. “Scorsese” Ingram, we now have some video content up on the site. There’s a link up top called “Videos”. Click on the Videos link and - get this - you’ll be directed to the video section. Scorsese told me he has enough footage to put together a few more highlight reels. And then there’s the playoffs! Man this football stuff is exciting! GO EAGLES!
Also… still need to get player bios from alot of you. I’ve got 6 so far. Please get them to Coach Gene or me at practice and I’ll put them up on the site right away. Search for Dakota Neer on Google.com… click here… you could be next!

Tomorrow’s showdown with the Rattlers should prove to be one of the tougher games on the Eagles schedule. The Rattlers have rattled off three straight impressive victories over the Vipers (40-0), Miners (21-0), and Pirates (37-6). The only common opponents on the schedule are the Vipers (Eagles 39-0) and Buffaloes (Eagles 40-0; Rattlers 12-0). On paper, this is a tough one to call.
However, they don’t play games on paper. The Eagles are at full strength for the first time in several weeks with the return of Orem and Ingram. The Eagles defensive units have looked fearsome the past two weeks forcing turnovers galore in two consecutive shutout performances.
While I don’t think it will be easy, I think the Eagles will shake, rattle, and ultimately roll the Rattlers 26-12.

Hey everyone… I added a player bio link to the main navigation of the site. For those of you who are digitally challenged… that means there’s a new link at the top of this web page that says “Player Bios”.
The new Player Bio page will house links to the individual player bio pages.
As I receive the player bios from each player I will put them up on the site. So far we have three listed. I will do my best to find a good photo for each player, but if you have a preference you can visit the Flickr.com account I’ve set up for the team by clicking on one of the pics listed on the right hand side of the site.
As you toggle thru the pictures in Flickr, click on the one you like and copy/paste the URL into an email… or you can add it to the comments below and I’ll grab the photo to place into the bio. If you come across one later that you’d prefer, fret not… I can always replace the photo that was chosen initially.

Ok, so what did someone slip into Lee Corso’s coffee this morning? Apparently a dose of something strong as one of football’s most visible prognosticators picked a huge upset from it’s STYFL Gameday set at Tempe High School this morning.
For the record, Herbstreit and Fowler could hardly contain themselves as Corso donned the Buffalo mascot’s headgear. Fowler laughed uncontrollably for nearly 45 seconds at Corso’s misdirected prediction. Herbie weighed in, saying he was favoring the Eagles big in this one and went so far as predicting that the Eagles would run thru the rest of their schedule unchallenged.
So, I guess that leaves us to prediction time… I think the Birds are going to fly high once again this afternoon. The Buffaloes will hang tough for awhile, but in the end the Eagles will walk away with the victory, 20-0.

It’s debatable who’s more excited about tomorrow showdown with the Cardinals. It’s almost 11pm and most of the Eagles have laid their beaks down to rest. Except this Eagle… dutifully writing a blog post while listening to the Letterman show.
The Eagles are coming off their first loss of the season last week and look for redemption versus the 1-3 Cardinals at QCMS 2. Should be an interesting game. The teams have been practicing in the same enclosure this week leading up to tomorrow’s game. Sizing each other up no doubt.
It’s prediction time… I think the Eagles have a little too much firepower for the Cardinals. With the exception of Chris Galloway, who’s still on vacation in Chicago (hurry back Chris!), the Eagles return at full strength as Bradley Beaver returns from the broken arm he suffered in the pre-season. Look for Beaver to have a big game tomorrow.
Prediction: Eagles 26, Cardinal 6
